Meet Kristin
There are always plenty of new things to learn in conveyor manufacturing, and after 10 years at Dorner, no one knows that better than Kristin A.
As a senior customer service representative, Kristin works with many different departments to help solve manufacturing challenges for customers. Whether helping to get a parts quote, placing an order, or assisting customers with current orders, every situation holds different surprises and challenges. “No matter how many times you think you’ve seen it all, something will happen that will surprise you and teach you something new.”
It’s the constant learning that Kristin enjoys the most about working here. In built-to-order businesses like Dorner, things sometimes go differently than planned. However, in Kristin’s mind, it’s not about the problems that come up; it’s about how everyone works together to overcome obstacles and create the best conveyor solution for each customer. Throughout her years at Dorner, she has learned that everyone works hard as a team so we can all win as a team.
For Kristin, working in manufacturing after being a part of different industries has reinforced that it can be easy to be overwhelmed with the breadth of knowledge and skills there are to learn, but there will always be someone to help. There are always opportunities to take on new skills and grow. “Over time, you’ll even learn things you never thought you’d know!”
