Meet Angelina
For Customer Service Representative Angelina S., helping customers is the job’s most rewarding and essential part. While she may have only been in her current position since May, Angelina has been a staple at Dorner in the shop and client services department for over five years. Starting in parts picking, she quickly became an essential part of the team and helped meet goals and overcome challenges while learning about the company and our products. In the last year alone, she has experienced exciting growth and changes as she shifted from the shop to help out in order entry before moving into her current customer service role. Working in various roles helped to give her more knowledge about Dorner’s products and customers and fueled her passion for the role she is in today.
Each day brings challenges, but Angelina always enjoys the opportunity to help people and grow in her career. What’s unique about Dorner is that everyone wants to help and see each other grow. “I like having the opportunity to grow with the people around me.” Whether it’s helping someone learn a new skill or pushing them out of their comfort zone, it’s that teamwork and passion that she enjoys being a part of.
As a Customer Service Representative, Angelina is in a unique position that allows her to work directly with customers and the manufacturing team to ensure orders are submitted and completed on time and that the final conveyor system meets her customer’s needs. It’s important to her to build and maintain excellent relationships with each customer, and the best part of her day is making a customer happy.
When asked what advice she would give someone looking to make a career in manufacturing, she said, “Don’t be afraid to go outside of your comfort zone. There are a lot of growth opportunities, so take advantage of it. Gaining new experiences and learning new things will help you find what you’re passionate about and enjoy doing every day.” Some days, there will be challenges because things don’t always go exactly as planned, but what’s important is always facing the issues head-on and working as a team to solve them.
