The Dorner brothers opened their doors in 1966 as a tool and die shop with one simple philosophy: Cater to the customer. This meant building high-quality products and making sure customers were satisfied through quality and service.
After identifying the need for a safe method of removing die cuts and scrap from under the pressing machines, the Dorner Brothers developed and patented the industry's first low profile conveyor, the 4100, aka the Slug-O-Matic.
The Dorners quickly made a name for themselves as a leader in industrial and precision conveyance technology. Over the years, we've built up our portfolio of conveyor products to serve almost every industry, from metal parts to food production.
To meet growing demands and bring more services in house, Dorner expanded their corporate headquarters to the 140,000 square foot building we are in today. This expansion allowed us to bring parts machining in house, as well as dedicate a space for new product development.
By 2017, Dorner had expanded globally with additional facilities in Canada, Latin America, Germany, France, and Malaysia. With each new facility, we were also able to expand our product offering and services to better serve our customers.
Recently, Dorner was purchased by Columbus McKinnon as the first in many subsequent acquisitions to add a Conveyance Solutions branch to their portfolio. Other Conveyance brands in the CMCO family include Garvey and montratec.
Dorner’s goal is to provide products and services that meet or exceed our customer requirements and applicable standards. Each of our employees is committed to that goal.
